Designed and built on the west coast of British Columbia - nestled on the Sunshine Coast - between the bustling lower mainland and our own "Pacific Paradise" of Vancouver Island.

Using both contemporary and classic designs, each board is hand crafted from locally grown and at times recycled or reclaimed wood and wood products.  A variety of wood is available and can be incorporated into a board; cedar, spruce, mahogany (reclaimed) and fir, along with cork.

We use the best, incomparable low VOC epoxy resins made by "Resin Research" - which are phenol and formaldehyde free which means better for our environment.  Along with Canadian -made, water-based wood glues.

The hand-crafted, glassed on fins are one-of-a-kind, works of art themselves.

Each board is pain-stakenly hand sculptured using various woodworking techniques.

Over 20 years of woodworking experience and an eye for artful and shapely forms allows for such 3-D  products to be created in a hollow form.

Rare.  Less than a dozen wooden, hollow surfboard fabricators worldwide.  West Coast Woodyz are one of the first - if not the only wooden,  hollow surfboard designers/fabricators in Canada at this time.

Some of our boards - foot by foot - are close to the same in weight as their foam counterparts.  The same sizes and shapes, but lighter!

Prices range from $175 - $275 per foot.

So whether you are ready to catch some waves this weekend or you're landlocked and just want a beautiful "wall hanger"...West Coast Woodyz may have just what you need.
